CALENDAR CATCH UP
June 3, 2021

I get asked many good questions in my coaching practice and a question I receive from time to time is, “What is the quickest shortcut you know to becoming successful?”
There have been times that a client needs to accomplish something in their life in an expedited timeframe and wants to know the quickest way to make it happen. My answer is always the same and is very simple – let the calendar catch-up to what’s already inside of you.
So, what does that mean? It means, whatever it is your working towards and striving for, that goal of the successful life you want – make it alive within you using your five senses – see it, hear it, taste it, touch it and smell it. Feel it as though it’s already happened, then think, speak and act as if it has. The more you do this, it will become part of your subconscious mind and that’s what you want.
Why? When your subconscious and conscious minds are aligned, your internal goals and desires will become your external reality. This alignment process eliminates counter intention. Counter intention is when your conscious mind says one thing and your subconscious says another and, ultimately, the subconscious belief will become your reality.
Example: Randy wanted a promotion and interviewed for a management level role in his company. Unfortunately, Randy didn’t get the promotion and when a colleague asked him about it, he said, “I didn’t get it but it’s okay because I really didn’t think I had a shot anyway.” That was his subconscious delivering on what he truly believed and a very real example of counter intention at work.
Eliminate being out of alignment by connecting your conscious affirmations to your subconscious mind using your belief in yourself. How will you know when your conscious and subconscious are aligned? When your reality reflects your internal ‘movie’.
Starting today, accept 100% responsibility for your external life. Pull your future to you and let the calendar catch-up.
When you live this way, you’ll be in a state of happiness and freedom. Remember, the more you are you, the more you will do.
Appreciate the Day,
