LEVERAGE YOUR STRENGTHS

What does it mean to leverage your strengths? In the simplest terms, it means using more of what you are good at to get more of what you want.
So the next question is – do you know what your strengths are? I have found that the best way to identify your strengths is to determine what you’re good at. Make a list – write down all of the things that you enjoy doing – public speaking, organizing, mentoring/coaching, crunching numbers, reading, etc. This list will provide you with a lot of useful information about where to spend your time and what behaviors and activities will best serve you.
Then, ask yourself which strength/s you need to use more of to help you reach your goals. In other words, how will you incorporate these strengths as action items into your daily routine?
I recommend that you identify and focus on four individual strengths a year (one per quarter) and that you leverage them in your day-to-day interactions. This representation of your commitment to the growth and development of your strengths will become what you’re known for and will increase your value, earning power, and overall success over time.
Individuals today are focused mainly on surviving vs. thriving. Leveraging your strengths will naturally allow you to maximize your life’s purpose. Remember, the more you are you, the more you will do!
Appreciate the Day,
