Achievement

December 23, 2021

By Mark David

December is the last month of the year. It’s a great time to get ready for the new adventure that is Infront of you. I wanted to give you a poem by Robert Lewis Stevenson. He is famous for his books called Treasure Island and The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. His books immediately pull you into their stories, as if you were a witness to the book’s description of reality.

I suggest you take this poem called Achievement and use it as high-octane fuel to succeed in your life. Read it, memorize it, and then live it. His words ring true today as they did in 1896.

Achievement

That a person is a success who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much;
Who has gained the respect of intelligent people and the love of children;
Who has filled their niche and accomplished their task;
Who leaves the world a better place than they found it, whether by improved poppy, a perfect poem or a rescued soul;
Who never lacked appreciation for the earth’s beauty or failed to express it;
Who looked for the best in others and gave the best they had.

– R.L. Stevenson

Appreciate the Day,
