The reptilian brain thrives on being filled with fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD). It’s normal and a natural state to be in. It’s very comfortable to create a constant low-grade fear that most people just accept. This state is explained in many ways, such as stress, anxiety, frustration, anger, loneliness, victimization, or living life waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Living a life of being fearless is the antidote. One does this by recognizing that their reptilian brain has become their dominant mindset, and shifting to live out of their heart brain. The heart brain harbors your fearlessness. It gives you the courage to face your fears head-on, to walk through them, and resolve them instead of being overwhelmed and allowing them to control you.
Here are a few ways to get to your heart brain to live a life thriving, not just surviving:
- Be ok with being fearful, it’s normal
- Know you will overcome it. Be the hero in your movie
- Put what you’re fearful about in a single bucket. Comprehend all of what is bothering you. See it all in front of you.
- Face your fears and step through them
- Do the ‘uglies’ early. Move forward on the action that will dissolve your fears. Do this action as early as possible- get it over with. Put it behind you. Have the rest of the day in sunlight.
- Get organized. Create your plan, execute on it. Role play. Practice it. Anticipate what will happen. Be ready with your solutions.
- Stop being annoyed or disappointed in yourself when you’re fearful. It’s just a moment in time for you to grow and develop your capabilities. This fear is putting a spotlight on the capabilities that you need to have but don’t have. The fear is signaling to you: “Here’s an opportunity for growth/greater success in your life”.
- Stop wanting life to be easy. Stop wanting to have all the answers you need immediately. Be okay with having to work for it. Remember, the most important lessons in life usually come from tough times.
- Be open for certain moments to build your character, develop your internal strength and confidence. Observe how living through your heart brain gives you an opportunity to show yourself how courageous and fearless you are.
- Use the E + R = O formula to become fearless
- E – the event that is causing the fear
- R – your reaction to the event
- O – your reaction will give you the outcome
Imagine the ‘E’ has a drop-down menu:
Event
· Look at the event with objectivity and clarity
· Extract the truth within the event- once you comprehend the truth, the rest is easy
· Learn from what the truth is showing you
· Take the truth and create your PSA (Proactive Strategic Adjustment)
· Lastly, JDI it. Just Do It. See yourself achieving your goals.
In conclusion to being fearless, here is an acronym to remember and implement in your own life:

About
Reality
To do this, all of us are required to keep raising our consciousness level higher and higher. What seems to be impossible at one level of consciousness becomes obvious and simple at a higher level.
